Puppy Play and Learn
For puppies 8 to 16 weeks - Drop into my Puppy Play and learn for early social skills, new experiences, and prepare your puppy for real life!  Get valuable information on raising your puppy, build the foundation for the best future behavior and ask questions about anything and everything.
  • If your pup is older than 16 weeks consider REAL LIFE PUPPY (see below)
  • $10 per visit - no registration required  
  • (*FREE FOR CVHS ADOPTERS of PUPS 8-16 WKS)
  • No Class Aug. 14 and Aug. 21
When?  Every Saturday 9:00 am to 10:00 am
Note:  Your puppy's first Critical fear period (where dogs decide for life what they are afraid of) first start between 10-16 weeks.  During this time your dog should get out there, see people and experience new things every day.
Studies prove, early social skills create dogs that are less likely to be given up, less likely to bite and are better pets overall.

Real Life Puppy ($125 for 5 weeks)
The next step after Play and Learn and for puppies 4 to 7 months – Take that next step and combine play, social skills and basic beginner,obedience with life challenges! I'll show you proper play, leash skills and:  sit, down, stay, no pulling, no jumping, wait, come and drop it!  All while moving you away from punishment and focusing on positive reinforcement. 
When? Tuesday, Sept. 7 to Oct. 5 (6:15 pm) 

Real Life 1 ($125 fir 5 weeks)
For beginner (adult) or 8 months and up -  This beginner class is great for newly adopted dogs and young dogs that missed out on early training.  Much like our puppy class (above) but geared towards adolescent to adult dogs.  Again, I teach the basics (sit, down, stay, wait, no pulling, no jumping, drop it, come, and heel) along with REAL LIFE situations with other dogs, people, visitors, and how to handle conflict.  All positive, reward based training, of course!
When? Saturday,  Sept. 11 to Oct. 9 (11:00 am)
Also AT CVHS - Friday, Sept. 10 to Oct. 8 (6:00 pm)

Real Life 2 ($125 for 5 weeks)
For graduates of Real Life Puppy and RL1  - This intermediate level class does not include play, but is for you if your dog is not a beginner!  I help you polish up what your dog has already learned, get a better heel, a better stay, a better come and begin off leash work. Its time to liberate you from doing all the work and help your dog with self-control!  (i.e. new situations, parks, family vacations, or busy sidewalks.)   
When?  Tuesday, Sept. 7 to Oct. 5 (7:15 pm)
At CVHS - Friday, Sept. 10 to Oct 9 (7:00 pm)

PET FACILITATED THERAPY CERTIFICATION CLASS $125 for 3 weeks
Though you don't have to be advanced to take this class, I hope by the end of it, you and your dog will be well on your way.  I'll prepare you for therapy work as well as get you in tune with your dogs needs, stress level and where he or she is currently as a potential for Therapy work.  CGC and pet facilitated therapy certification are both included
When?  Thursday, Sept 9 TO SEPT 23 (Certification included) (6:15)

TINY TOTS ($125 FOR 5 WEEKS)
A safe environment for the tiniest of tiny dogs, no big dogs, no fearful situations.  increase your dogs confidence in himself and you as a handler, learn basic obedience, handling skills, manners and rescue techniques for your tiny friend. Even though they are little then need training too.
When? Saturdays, Sept. 11 to Oct. 9 (10:00 am)

MANNERS ON THE MOVE ($145 for 5 weeks)
A class on the go, for those of us that take our dogs everywhere (or would like to)  We visit a pet store, veterinary office, trails and different places all in the real world.  All while working on real life skills like; heel, off leash recall, leave it and dog to dog greetings!
When? Saturday, Sept. 11 to Oct. 9 (2:30 pm)
Where? 1st Class is at Club Canine then: Pet Quarters, Pierce Island, Port City Veterinary Referral Hospital, Stratham Hill Park! Or we can decide as a class!

GRUMPY GROWLIES ($145 for 6 weeks)
Does your dog have a reaction or appear aggressive to every dog, jogger, kid or noise? Then ,this is the class for you. Learn the difference between reactive behavior, aggression, fear and simple lack of understanding. Find out if your dog really is aggressive or just lacks the proper skills  to make the RIGHT choices. Then learn how to help your dog make better choices, default to your leadership and change your relationship!
Commands Covered: I've got it, Go say Hi! Leave it, Heel, Loose leash walking and attention to name.
When? NOT OFFERED THIS SESSION

TOP 5 TROUBLE ($30 each)
Pick your trouble spot and spend a whole class, solving, discussing and doing the things you need to do to fix the behavior. I will show you how, why, and get you to look at the BIG PICTURE: Even if you are just working on jumping, for example, you can have a better dog AND a better relationship overall.
